ABOUT US
Shimeba combines cutting edge location technologies with
a simple yet powerful user interface to provide the best indoor navigation experience one can think of.
Our meter precise location technology spots the visitors' exact location inside the venue and can then easily lead them to their destination, even in the most complex architectures.
We all use outdoor navigation solutions to get from one place to the other. But what do we do once we enter the door? How can we navigate indoors and find the store we are looking for inside a huge shopping center or our next class in our maze-looking university?
That's where Shimeba comes indoors.
FLAGSHIP PROJECT
Dizengoff Center is the lively beating heart of Tel Aviv, and Israel’s most renown shopping center, offering its visitors a remarkable touring and shopping experience.
Though unique and lively, the Dizengoff Center structure makes
it challenging at times to find your way inside.
With its spiral architecture, open spaces and no standard level division, Dizengoff Center is one of the most challenging buildings in the world technology-wise for indoor navigation. Once you’ve cracked Dizengoff Center, you’ve done it all…
We are very excited to launch our first app in the very same place where it all began - our personal go-to shopping center - Dizengoff Center!

HOW IT WORKS
Searching for the best solution, we found that maximal
accuracy is achieved through a combination of several of
the most advanced location technologies available today.
We use, among others, Wi-Fi-based positioning that measures
the intensity of the received signal from the already existing access points inside the buildings. Similarly, we use Bluetooth-based positioning that supports both Android and iOS applications.
The sensors available on the mobile device, such as the device's accelerometer, magnometer and gyroscope, add another layer that detects the users' movement, pace and heading.
The top layer constitutes our own developed algorithms that provide an even smoother navigation experience and are tailored
to fit the specific needs and characteristics of each venue.
OUR STORY

Michael Milman
Founder & CEO
“Living in Tel Aviv, I often visit Dizengoff Center to purchase the things I need. In several of my visits, I couldn't find the store I was looking for. As a tech guy and an experienced developer, I immediately thought to myself there's probably something that can be done to solve this issue. A year later I'm standing in Dizengoff Center proud to present Shimeba's first commercial app. You can imagine how excited I am.”

Michal Tamir
Co-founder, Business & Marketing
“I often find myself talking to entrepreneurs listening to their ideas. What captured me talking to Michael was seeing a real live demonstration of the technologic capabilities and the accurate positioning already during our first meeting. As a female living in Tel Aviv and shopping in Dizengoff Center, I couldn't relate more to the definite need and actually wished I already had the app to get me to our meeting. ”
